We’re proud to announce that Sam and Derek have won the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs’ 2014 John Wallowitch Award. The award memorializes John Wallowitch, a beloved New York songwriter and cabaret performer and is given annually to a songwriter or team under 40 who has not previously won a MAC award.
We’re so proud to present Canadian superstar Danielle Wade’s 1st solo show! Danielle burst on the scene in 2012 with her weekly television appearances—and win—of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Over the Rainbow: Search for the Next Dorothy.” Blending a stunning ability to draw audiences in, a power-house voice, and a plucky likability—Danielle won Canada’s heart and the role of Dorothy in the Toronto production of THE WIZARD OF OZ.
Before her stardom in Canada, though, we discovered Danielle at a University of Windsor (Ontario) workshop and featured her in our fourth “Barely Legal Show-Tune Extravaganza” (her US debut), where she premiered “New York, Do You Care?”
We’re thrilled that she’s returning to New York to sing an entire evening of our work; no one does it better! For those of you who don’t know Danielle’s work yet, prepare to be astounded!
Danielle will be joined by three amazing guest stars: Derek Klena (DogFight, Wicked, Bridges…), Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture, Les Mis, Wicked), and Stephen C. Anthony (Book of Mormon, Catch Me If You Can) “Danielle Wade Sings Carner & Gregor” will be presented on Monday, October 13th at 9:30pm at the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd St., New York, NY / (212) 206-0440.
