Come by 54 Below (254 W. 54th St.) on February 4th at 9:30 for this Libra Theatre Company benefit concert. It’ll feature new and rarely performed songs by a number of writers including Miller & Tysen, Katie Thompson, Joey Contreras, Joe Iconis, Amanda Green, and more. A new song from our musical Island Song will be sung by Molly Hager.

A workshop production of our musical Island Song (the show that our songs “Sing, But Don’t Tell” “Wall Lovin'” “New York, Do You Care?” “Make It Here” “Stay Awhile” “So Far From Pennsylvania” among others come from) is being presented at the Bloomington Playwrights Project, 107 W. 9th St., Bloomington, Indiana.
We’re spending January in Indiana, developing the show with our director and co-story-writer Marlo Hunter.

On January 27, 2014, come by 54 Below (254 W. 54th St., NYC) to check out a live concert featuring the 12 new musical theater writers featured in Michael Gioia’s Playbill articles Contemporary Musical Theater Songwriters You Should Know in the fall of 2012.
We were honored to be included in the article and are thrilled to be part of the concert. All 12 writers will be debuting brand new songs, so it should be a really exciting event. The remarkable TItuss Burgess will be singing our number!

On Saturday, December 14 at 2:30 pm, we’ll be debuting a new Christmas song at Lincoln Center. It’s a holiday concert featuring all brilliant new writers, including Rosser & Sohne, Drew Fornarola, Joe Iconis, Katie Thompson, Andrew David Sotomayor, Thomson & Mann, and many more. Our song will be sung by the hilarious Chris Critelli. Should be a great afternoon!

Baldwin-Wallace University’s MT ’15 class will be presenting “First Takes: A New Songwriters Showcase” later this month. The evening will include songs by several emerging musical theater writers and will feature six numbers of ours.
The performances will be at 7pm on November 17th and 18th in the Kleist Center for Art and Drama on the Baldwin-Wallace Campus (275 Eastland Rd., Berea, OH)

In “Putting the Pieces Together” a group of talented Montclair State University students will perform a number of our songs–along with songs by the brilliant Rosser & Sohne (Tim Rosser and Charlie Sohne) and Alexander Sage Oyen–in two concerts to benefit Autism Awareness. The concert will be produced by Anthony Crouchelli and M.O.V.E.
The 1st performance will be 7pm on Nov. 16th at Montclair State University (1 Normal Ave., Montclair, NJ), in Life Hall Room 123. Tickets are donation only. CLICK HERE for more info.

We’ve added songs from Unlock’d to our sheet music store. “A Delicate Thing,” “The Hair Song,” “While He’s Away,” and “Only a Gnome” are now available–in addition to “Almost First Kiss,” “All at Once,” and “Off to the East.” A solo version of “The Hair Song” is coming soon.

This year’s Barely Legal Showtune Extravaganza is set for August 5th at (le) Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker St. Doors open at 7pm, and the show starts at 8pm.
This year’s Extravaganza features a special alumni concert as the first set, to be followed by this year’s class as the second set. Be prepared for an amazing evening, featuring a fantastic band and some of the best young singers in the business.
This year’s concert will be hosted by Andrew Kober and special guest host Danielle Wade, winner of Over the Rainbow Canada, and Barely Legal class of 2012.
